Antique wall clocks are revered by collectors as well as those simply interested in unique clocks to improve upon existing interior design.  Wall clocks are some of the most common antiques purchased when it comes time to buy an antique clock, and the styles of antique clocks offered are diverse and beautiful. 

Some antique wall clocks were crafted in the eighteenth century in various regions of France; these clocks were crafted with ornate bronze elements and gold leaf rested on wood-based clock frames. 

Many antique wooden wall clocks lack ordinary numbers and instead, have ornate Roman numerals decorating the face of every clock.  In addition, a lot of antique clocks are made with incredibly delightful ornamentations too, thereby making every single wall clock a work of art and a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Some dealers of antique wall clocks offer musical wall clock items for you to choose from, and at one time, these clocks faded in popularity, but their popularity is once again on the rise. 

A musical wall clock will generally have a lovely pendulum that swings just below the face and when the clock is activated, and the pendulum swings the clock will generate splendid music.  Offered in some superbly beautiful designs, you can place one of these unique clocks in your bedroom, your home office, a kitchen, a den or anywhere you want a bit of music and the practicality of a time device.

Some of the best aged clocks are crafted of a variety of different woods, but you can also find wrought iron wall clock items that are ornate, aesthetically pleasing, and quite decorative. 

You can also find antique looking wall clocks that still maintain an antique, old-fashion appearance; a Howard Miller wall clock is one such example.  Howard Miller clocks were first manufactured in the late 1920s, and his clocks were commonly purchased as gifts for retirement, weddings, or special occasions.
